(Sutter Creek) The 2018 – 2019 Amador County Civil Grand Jury report on the Amador Water Agency has been received and is being reviewed by AWA Directors and Agency management.
In an initial letter addressed to the Grand Jury, AWA Board of Directors President Paul Molinelli, Jr. said, “The Amador Water Agency Board of Directors wishes to express its gratitude for the diligent and detailed work of the 2018 – 2019 Civil Grand Jury.
“Grand Jury members were unfailingly courteous and professional during interviews and their interactions with Agency staff and Board members. We appreciate the time it took for the Grand Jury to review the thousands of pages of records the Agency provided for review and to prepare the final report.
“AWA Directors and staff are always looking for ways to improve. Rest assured that the Agency takes seriously its many responsibilities to its ratepayers and the general public. We welcome suggestions for improvement and look forward to providing a constructive response to the findings of the Grand Jury’s report.”
Agencies have 90 days to respond to the recommendations of the Civil Grand Jury report.
