Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of difficult and responsible accounting and statistical work; including but not limited to, account reconciliation for multi-fund accounting, understanding of accrual accounting, writing/posting journal entries, month-end financials; assists with annual audits, completing the PBC schedule; payroll processing. Four year degree in accounting with 2 years’ experience or two-year degree with 5 years’ experience required.

The Amador Water Agency is looking for a dynamic and strategic individual to plan, organize, direct, and participate in the activities and operations of the Engineering Department as the Engineering Manager. The Engineering Manager will assume full management responsibility for all engineering services and activities including new development, Agency projects and programs, including complex projects involving highly technical functions related to water and wastewater systems, significant interaction with outside agencies and the general public, engineering design, securing permits and project construction activities, grant application management; engineering support for other Agency departments; recommend and administer policies and procedures; prepares and administers the department’s budget, including capital improvement projects; provide administrative support and expertise to the General Manager, Board of Directors and all Agency departments. B.S. Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field; ten (10) years of increasingly responsible experience in engineering, planning or management, including at least five (5) years of management/supervisory experience. Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California or ability to obtain within six months of hire if PE issued in another State.
